Defibrillation electrodes are one of the more common types of electrode pads. Today I will share with you some operational procedures that you need to know about electrical defibrillation in defibrillation pads
A) Pre-assessment
Understand the patient's condition, evaluate the patient's consciousness, ECG status, and whether there is ventricular fibrillation.
2) Preparation before operation
Prepare rescue items, conductive paste, electrode pads, 5 gauze in the treatment bowl, and place them in an orderly manner. 1. The defibrillator is in a good standby state. >
2. Expose the chest. Press the electrode pads to clean the skin of the monitoring lead. Connect the lead wires.
3. Turn on the defibrillator correctly. The battery is sufficient, adjust to the monitoring position; observe the ECG waveform on the display instrument; check the defibrillator and report to the examiner that the equipment is in good condition. The connection is normal; the electrode plate is intact
The preparation time for emergency defibrillation should not exceed 30 seconds) 4. Describe ventricular fibrillation in patients with heart rhythm. >
Three) In operation
Dry the patient’s skin quickly. 1. Place the patient in the resuscitation position. >
2. Select the defibrillation energy. The defibrillation energy selection 200J confirms that the electrical cardioversion state is asynchronous. 360J linear biphasic wave is truncated with 120J biphasic index (BTE wave is 150200J if the operator is not familiar with the defibrillator.>
3. Quickly dry the skin of the patient's chest. Coat the hand-controlled defibrillation electrode plate with special conductive paste, and do not face yourself when holding the electrode plate. And evenly distributed on the two electrode plates.
4. The electrode plate is placed correctly; the edge of the STERNVM electrode plate is placed on the second intercostal space on the right side of the sternum. The upper edge of the APEX electrode plate is placed in the fourth intercostal space of the left mid-axillary line) The electrode plate is in close contact with the skin.
5. Recharge, dictate and ask others to leave
6. The electrode plate pressure is appropriate; observe the ECG oscilloscope again (the description is still ventricular fibrillation)
7. Look around the patient. Can't come into contact with the patient)
The whole process does not exceed 20 seconds) 8. Press the discharge button with both thumbs at the same time for electric shock defibrillation; from the activation of the manual defibrillation electrode to the completion of the first defibrillation. >
9. The defibrillation is over. Successful recovery of sinus rhythm and defibrillation. >
10. Remove the electrode plate.
11. Return the knob to monitor; clean the defibrillation electrode plate.
12. Assist the patient to take a comfortable lying position. Continue to do follow-up treatment; the patient's condition is stable, statement: Closely observe changes in vital signs. Follow the doctor's advice to stop ECG monitoring. Remove the electrode pads and wipe the skin.
13. Correctly return the electrode plate; shut down.
Four) After the operation is completed
1. Dry the skin on the chest wall. Assist in a comfortable lying position and organize the patient’s clothing. Observe closely and record the changes in vital signs in time.
2. Finishing things.
After the above steps are completed, the entire electrical defibrillation process is complete
